LDF 'New Gen' Scholarship Trust
We already have a competiton amongst our exhibitors for the KDF cup. The
stands are judgesd in secret by a guest judge
&the
winner can have a free stand at the next Festival. Previous winner & runner up

Festivals are passionate about encouraging new talent into this wonderful
industry.
Many of the top exhibitors have been making miniatures for well over 20 years.
We feel it is important to encourage new craftsmen to work in this unique
artform. Many of the established artists started off as art students,
jewellers, full size cabinetmakers etc. No one starts their career thinking
they will make miniatures for a living, but once they have started, many have
been enchanted by this world & as we know their miniatures get better & better
each show.
LDF have launched the 'New Gen' scholarships. These will support craftsmen who
are starting out in this unusual field. We will help fund them to attend one
of our events + help with publicity, marketing as well as pairing them up with
a mentor to help with any problems they may have.
The applicants need to have a genuine interest & understanding of this area of
work, & show promise with their skills & ideas. You may know someone who would
be ideal for one of our grants, or maybe you are trying to get started in this
industry.

You can still be apart
of this scheme even if you don't make miniatures yourself, but you just love
collecting. We are looking for sponsors to help fund our scholarships, so if
you love miniatures & would like to help some up-and-coming artisans & get the
opportunity to help

Many of the visitors to our show love it so much, the don't just come to one
show each year, they come to all our shows. This year we are introducing the
LDF Loyalty Club. For one payment, you will get the following benefits:
* Entry to all days of all our 3 shows including the 2 day KDF Summer
Festival, the Christmas Festival & the City of London Festival 2014.
* A free pass for a friend to attend one day of any of our shows.
